Simon Walford qualified in medicine from Cambridge, and then held medical training and research posts before arriving in Wolverhampton in 1984 as Consultant Physician with a special interest in diabetes.
He was Medical Director at the Royal Wolverhampton Hospitals before becoming a Senior Medical Adviser for the Department of Health. He now works as an independent adviser to health care organisations seeking help with service improvement.
Simon welcomes the chance to support good governance of the University, and to encourage people to take advantage of the opportunities it can offer.
