Diets and doping in sport go under the spotlight
The use of dietary supplements and doping tests in sport will be the focus of a seminar at the University of Wolverhampton.
Professor Ron Maughan is set to visit the University’s
Research Institute in Healthcare Sciences
(RIHS) on Wednesday, 16 April 2008.
Professor Maughan is from the School of Sport and Exercise Sciences at Loughborough University.
The seminar, from 1pm to 2pm, will be introduced by Professor Alan Nevill, from the University of Wolverhampton.
He said: “Professor Maughan is one of the world’s leading Sports Scientists on drugs in sport and is frequently asked to comment on drugs and nutrition by the media.”
Members of the public are welcome to attend the seminar at the City Campus, in room MC331.
