It may only take a single discovery to reveal new paths of enquiry, challenge preconceptions, and take research into uncharted terrain. But breakthrough moments are just part of the picture. Research requires painstaking individual endeavour, coupled with the right environment. It’s about knowing what questions to ask when the pieces of the puzzle fit together, and just as importantly, when they don’t.

 

Like any university which places research at the heart of its intellectual life, the University of Wolverhampton is committed to pushing the boundaries of knowledge to their limits. In 2007 we can claim some significant breakthrough moments of our own.
