SPEED WM offers students and graduates from any course, from glass design to mechanical engineering, or dance to business administration, the opportunity to develop their business ideas.
As part of the SPEED WM programme, you will have access to:
The £5million project, partially funded by the European Regional Development Fund, aims to help students and graduates become the entrepreneurs of the future and has been running since March 2009.
Students and graduates accepted on the SPEED WM programme will get financial and support assistance tailored to suit their particular need, as well as provision of training days and workshops.
Students and graduates will receive training and access to a variety of internal and external resources to give them the best chance of generating an income from their business and will be coached at each stage of their development.
The principle of the SPEED WM project is to give current students and graduates the opportunity to improve their business skills through the development of a business idea in a supportive environment.
Applicants must not already be trading, they must intend to set up their business in the West Midlands region. The programme is part funded by ERDF and, as such, is only open to nationals of the European Union.
