International Academy Summer School students enjoy their experiences on campus and in UK

International students taking part at the International Academy Summer School and Wolverhampton Experience (TNE) 2017 programmes have experienced a varied cultural and educational Summer School programme.

The students have taken part in English language classes and have chosen options in Broadcasting and Journalism, Professional Communication and Art & Design. They have also completed and presented project work during class and have visited Liverpool, London, Stratford, Shrewsbury, Cambridge and local places of cultural and historical interest.

The students on the Wolverhampton Experience (TNE) programme have also received guest lectures on Careers and Business and have been given tours of City Campus. This programme provides an opportunity for students from our partner institutions to visit their home university which they are studying through, whilst improving their English language skills and experiencing the very best that the UK has to offer.

Dr Tony Shannon-Little, Principal Lecturer for Undergraduate Employability, TESOL trainer, EAP Tutor, said: "The students have had a very enjoyable fortnight together and with our teaching staff. They had fun developing their English and experienced a range of varied and interesting visits and activities to gain familiarity with British culture and the university and also to learn about each other’s culture."
