Step is a work experience programme for graduates and students who have studied or are studying for a degree in any discipline at the University of Wolverhampton.
We offer first class placement opportunities in businesses across the West Midlands, Shropshire, Staffordshire, Warwickshire and Worcestershire.
There are a number of placement options:
On placements lasting 24 weeks or under you will be paid a training allowance of £215 or £220 a week (placement dependant).
You will be supported throughout by our STEP placements team, who source the opportunities, match suitable candidates and deal with all the administration.
Open to all degree disciplines, STEP is an ideal opportunity to get that first bit of credible work experience to add to your CV. Recently several graduates placed through the programme have successfully secured employment at the company they were placed with.
Matthew Preston has recently completed a Step Placement with Extra Mile Communications Ltd, you can read about his experience and see how the scheme can help students, graduates and employers.
Harriet Davies has also provided details of her experiences of the STEP programme. To read about how this has benefitted her and her host organisation, click here.
