Suzi Perry

Born at RAF Cosford hospital in Shropshire, Suzi grew up in Wolverhampton and studied at Westacres, Uplands, Smestow and Wulfrun College. At school, she loved sport, art and drama and worked parttime at the Grand Theatre as a lighting technician where she experienced many crazy moments and met some stars.

Suzi then went on to study at the University of Wolverhampton for a BA Honours degree in Business and Finance. She got her first break into broadcasting with Sky Sports where she became the ‘first lady’ of motorcycling and travelled the world covering MotoGP, World Superbikes and Speedway.

In 2000 Suzi joined the BBC where she is now an integral member of the BBC Sport team, reporting from events including Wimbledon, The Boat Race, The Great North Run, Olympic Games and covers fashion at Royal Ascot. Other BBC shows have included, The National  Lottery, City Hospital, Housecall, Holiday, Treasure Hunt and Superstars. She regularly reports for BBC News and GMTV and had her own show on Discovery, What’s The Big Idea? Currently  Suzi hosts Channel 5’s flagship show, The Gadget Show, now into its 12th series. Over the last five years she has also written for the Daily Telegraph.

Although Suzi now lives between London and France, Wolverhampton still plays a big part in her life, visiting her family and supporting her beloved Wolves. In 2004, Suzi became a patron for Promise Dreams, a national charity based in Wolverhampton. Together with Steve Bull and Don  Goodman, she initiated Run for Dreams, an annual event which has become the largest single fundraising event for the charity. Suzi also works with Burnaid at Birmingham Children’s Hospital and London based UK Youth.
