Graduation Ceremonies

Graduation Ceremonies for the University of Wolverhampton take place in Spring and September at the Wolverhampton Grand Theatre. More details will follow soon.

Under no circumstances should you contact the Wolverhampton Grand Theatre directly about these ceremonies.

Apply to Attend

Celebrate your achievements with family and friends at a University of Wolverhampton graduation ceremony.

How to Apply

Students can now apply to attend the Spring graduation ceremony via the graduation page on e:Vision. Applications to attend graduation will close at 9am on Monday 6th March 2017 and late applications will not be considered.

Graduates do not need to purchase a ticket for themselves. Graduates will be given their ticket when they register on the day of their ceremony from the Grand Theatre box office.  

Guest tickets

Guest tickets will be charged at £15 per person. Guest tickets will go on sale at 12pm on Monday 6th March 2017 and all graduates will be reserved a set number of tickets (at least 2) which must be purchased by 9am on Monday 13th March 2017. Any remaining tickets will go on sale at 12pm on Monday 13th March 2017 on a first come first served basis, and tickets sales will close 9am on Monday 20th March 2017.

A limited number of tickets may be available to purchase on the day of your ceremony, from the Grand Theatre box office.

All guest tickets must be purchased via the graduation page of e:Vision.

Graduation is a ceremonial occasion which young children can find tedious. In the interest of other patrons children under 8 years of age will not be admitted to the theatre auditorium.

Students with a UK address will have their guest tickets posted to them. Students with an overseas address must collect their tickets from the Grand Theatre on the day of their ceremony. Tickets will be allocated together, even if purchases were made on different dates.

Academic Robes

All graduates must wear smart attire to their ceremony.  Students not wearing the correct academic gown will not be presented for their award.

Students should order their gown from Ede and Ravenscroft.

Gowns must be collected and returned on the day of your ceremony from the 4th floor of the MC Building City Campus.

Portrait and Presentation Photos

Photography

The University's official photographer offers portrait and presentation photography services at graduation. Visit H Tempest's website for more information.

Digital photos

Digital photos are taken of each finalist as they are presented with their award. These can be purchased immediately after the ceremony from the Harrison Learning Centre, MD Block, City Campus.

You can also view and purchase your graduation portraits online. Just visit Tempest Photography.

Travel Guidance

University of Wolverhampton graduation ceremonies are held at the Grand Theatre.

The Grand Theatre is located: Lichfield Street, Wolverhampton WV1 1DE. Take a look at our Interactive map.

If travelling by bus or train you will find that the Grand Theatre is walking distance from both stations. Bus routes can be found via the National Express and Train routes can be found via National Rail Enquiries.
