About

I am 23 years old I have recently completed my Legal Practice Course and Masters in Law, and decided I wanted to work in education. As a GTA I aim to bridge any gaps in communication between academic staff and the students. I am here to ensure that students are fully supported with any issues be that personal or content related. The GTA's ensure that students stay motivated, supported and able to achieve. We are not just here to teach and support students, but we are a friendly face around the university for all students.

Qualifications

  • LLB (Hons) - 2.1
  • Legal Practice Course - Commendation
  • LLM (Law) - Commendation
  • Currently studying PGCE

Further information

Within the community I will hopefully be working with the secondary schools participating in the Mooting competitions. This is a great way to get young children involved with the university, and allowing them to participate in the practical side of the legal sector. I hope to be able to develop their presenting skills and confidence as well as give them an overview of the relevant legal knowledge required for their case materials.

Throughout my PGCE I may be doing a block placement in a further education setting. I would be very interested in working within an offender learning setting.
