Biography

I am a senior lecturer in the Department of Marketing, Innovation, Leisure and Enterprise at the University of Wolverhampton. I am very committed to the development of enterprise knowledge & skills amongst our diverse student groups. Most of my teaching and research activity is in the field of enterprise and small firm growth, particularly in developing practitioner relevant research in the topic of entrepreneurial learning. My prior experience before the University involved running my own small business and teaching in the FE sector. I have over the past four years engaged in several business support projects through the Knowledge Transfer Partnership scheme, which have been a valuable experience from both a research and teaching perspective.

My main areas of teaching are strategic management, entrepreneurship, enterprise, small firm growth, creativity and innovation.

Research interests

My research interests include entrepreneurial learning in SME management teams, management team learning, mentoring & learning in small firms, enterprise education  and strategising in small firms. I regularly present practitioner focused papers at the Institute for Small Business and Entrepreneurship conference and have several publications in the field of entrepreneurial learning.
