About

Amanda graduated from the University in 2016 with a First Class honours degree in International Hospitality Management. She has 15 years of experience working in the hospitality industry, including overseas work in France and Australia. She was awarded the Course Rep of the Year award from the University in 2016 due to her work between the leisure department staff and students to collate, communicate and provide solutions for student queries and suggestions for improvements. Amanda was appointed as Graduate Teaching Assistant in September 2016 and currently teaches level 4 and 5 Leisure industries management, including hospitality, tourism, event and venue management and entrepreneurship.

Having recently graduated from the University, Amanda is well-positioned to support students as she understands their journey so can be there to guide them through - particularly in their first year where additional support is even more crucial. She enjoys making learning fun and strives to produce creative and unique resources to engage and stimulate students, and provides one-to-one support and additional support for students who request it.
