About

I lecture on the BSc (Hons) Policing and Intelligence course.

After graduating from University with a BA(Hons) in Human Communication Studies, I joined West Midlands Police where I served as a Police Officer for 15 years. I specialised in safeguarding and became the Domestic Abuse Officer for the Walsall area. I went on to become a police trainer, teaching all aspects of policing.

I left the police force to take up post as Training Manager for Staffordshire Safeguarding Children Board where I was responsible for negotiating, securing and co-ordinating Staffordshire Safeguarding Children Board’s annual training plan, ensuring all professionals working with children had the correct level of child protection training.

I have also worked for Her Majesties Revenue and Customs investigating complex tax evasion.
