About

Sally has worked in Higher Education for the past 24 years. She has worked in Greece for the British Council and in Saudi Arabia as Head of English for Al Jubail Women's university. She has worked as a lecturer in English Language, Linguistics and TESOL at Nottingham Trent University and Loughborough University. Sally joined the University of Wolverhampton in 2008. She currently works as Principal Lecturer responsible for Student Experience in the Faculty of Social Sciences. She heads the academic skills work within the Faculty and has developed numerous credit bearing modules around academic skills. She is Course Leader for two cross Faculty courses and manages many university projects. She holds firm beliefs in the principles of widening participation and has led several projects and initiatives around 'inclusiveness'.

Research interests

Sally's research interests are around student experience. She has conducted research into critical thinking, diagnostic testing Higher Education transition. She is currently working on a joint project with other universities looking into students' nutrition.
