The Department of History, Politics and War Studies is pleased to announce the appointment to a Senior Lectureship in History of Dr Natalie Thomlinson.
Natalie has a first class degree in Modern History from the University of Oxford, an MA with distinction from the Institute of Historical Research, University of London and a Ph D from the University of Cambridge. In the academic year 2014-15 she has been a Teaching Fellow in Modern British History at the University of Sussex.
Her interests lie within the broad field of modern British social and cultural history, in particular the history of feminism, gender history, black history, the history of the body and oral history.
Her book Race and Ethnicity in the Women’s Movement in England, 1968-1993 will be published later this year by Palgrave Macmillan.
We are sure that Natalie will bring a new dimension to History teaching and research within the Department.
