Wolverhampton Cosmic Launch - Saturday 18 November

On Saturday 18 November the School of Mathematics and Computer Science will be launching COSMIC, the COmputer Science Motivated Inventors Club. This club will be open to the general public and is aimed at anybody who wants to work on project involving:
- Raspberry Pi, Arduino, NodeMCU and other small computers and microcontrollers
- 3D modelling and printing
- Robotics
- Drones and other smart vehicles
- Artficial Intelligence and Machine Learning
- High Performance and Parallel Computing
- Virtual and Augmented Reality
- Games development
- Internet of Things
- Cyber Security
- Data Science

This FREE event is open to those currently studying A2 Chemistry. Visiting students must be accompanied by their teacher. Tickets are allocated on a first come first served basis.

Wolverhampton Chemistry Quiz and Pizza Night (Yr12-13) - Thursday 30 November

A free event for Year 12 /13 pupils jointly hosted by the University of Wolverhampton and the Royal Society of Chemistry.
Fun and lively quiz for students to test their general and chemistry knowledge against each other. Lots of free pizza included to boost vital brain power! School group bookings or students can come individually.

STEM Outreach West Midlands - December 13th

Our introductory 2017/18 meeting is scheduled to take place on Wednesday 13th December, from 4pm to 6.30pm at the Wulfuna Building, University of Wolverhampton, City Campus and staff / pupils / parents and governors are welcome to register to attend

Purpose of SOW:

To raise motivation and aspirations in young people in years 11, 12 & 13 (KS4 & KS5) to continue with STEM subjects at school and in Higher Education.

Royal Society of Chemistry's Schools Analyst Competition - Friday 16 February

The Schools Analyst Competition is an annual national competition coordinated by the Royal Society of Chemistry’s Analytical Division. On the 16th of February 2018 the University of Wolverhampton are hosting a regional heat. The winner of this heat will compete in the competition final which will be held at Bangor University on the 20th and 21st of June 2018.

Chemistry Experience Day

A day of curriculum enhancing activities for students who are considering studying BSc or HND Chemistry at University. This FREE event is open to those currently studying AS Chemistry. Visiting students must be accompanied by their teacher.
