Held in association with the Morgan Sports Car Club, Run for the Hills, held at the Three Counties Showground Malvern, was the main Morgan event for 2017.
The action packed weekend saw motorcycle stunt displays, Morgan craftsmanship demonstrations, an AutoSolo area, trade stands from local food and craft companies, the biggest gathering of Morgan cars since the centenary celebrations in 2009.
As sponsors of the event, students from University of Wolverhampton Race Team (UWR) took their Formula Renault single-seater, as well as the factory Morgan Plus 4 Babydoll and Morgan ARV6 car – both of which are competing in the AR Morgan Challenge Series this season.
The team drew quite a crowd over the weekend with their pit-stop demonstrations and exceptionally loud Formula Renault exhaust. UWRs driver, Shane Kelly left the crowd in tyre smoke during several live demo-runs over the course of the event. UWRs Plus 4 Babydoll driver and descendant of HFS Morgan, Craig Hamilton-Smith also got some wheel-spin in both the live demo-runs and the AutoSolo.
