About

I started teaching in a secondary school where I taught science to all year groups, following this I moved to Primary education where I taught for 14 years in a large primary school in Staffordshire.  I move to the University of Wolverhampton in 2004 where my specialism is in science and ICT.  My Masters dissertation was in the use of handheld devices in the classroom and one of my current interests is in the use of technology in the classroom to enhance teaching and learning.  My other research interests are around the impact of the demands of a university education on mature students and their families.  I have recently become an ordained minister in the Church of England and I do what I can in the role of Chaplain on the Walsall campus although this is not part of my working contract.
