About

Garrett is a Chartered & HCPC registered Counselling Psychologist. He currently works as the Programme Director for the Doctorate in Counselling Psychology at the Institute of Psychology, University of Wolverhampton. He works with regional NHS services in the West Midlands to support Counselling Psychologists in clinical practice. Prior experience includes working in psychotherapy settings with clients suffering severe and enduring mental health issues, and primary care IAPT settings. He has also worked as part of a pilot-team developing new primary care mental health services in the West-Midlands. 

Research interests

Research interests include LGBT issues, religion & spirituality, critical psychopathology, social constructs in psychotherapy, counselling psychology training, mental health, personal development, destigmatisation and attitudes towards mental health & help-seeking.
