I am a motivated and enthusiastic health professional, currently working as a Senior Lecturer in the School of Health at Wolverhampton University. I have a wealth of clinical nursing, and management experience, gained in a variety of settings. I am committed to providing a quality service, and enjoy team working equally as working autonomously. My professional interests include, leadership and management, care of the elderly and student support.
I enjoy working with people from all walks of life, and have a genuine desire to help others reach their potential.
My current position involves teaching across a range of subjects on the B.Nursing Programme, including module leadership for a final year module, ‘Challenges for the 21st Century Adult Nurse.’ The module leadership role includes, planning organising teaching, marking, moderating, liaising with external examiners and preparing a grade profile for subject boards. I participate in Problem based learning and support approximately 30 personal students. I also take the role of group teacher, co-ordinating teaching and learning activities for a group of 100 students, and I am part of a team of link teachers in a District General Hospital. I participate in recruitment and marketing activities, including open days, and manage a link between Wolverhampton University and a Nursing Institute in Brittany, welcoming exchange students as part of this arrangement.
