About

I am currently a senior lecturer at University of Wolverhampton teaching Public Health.  My teaching experience reflects teaching health degree programmes. I lead Public Health modules and the Masters in Public Health, Health and Social Care and Health and Wellbeing modules. I have trained and supported staff and students in their personal development journey.  I co-lead on the ‘Health in India’ international study programme.

My past work experience consists of leading a cluster of Sure Start Children’s centres in dis-advantaged areas of Sandwell (Ofsted inspection judgment for Smethwick Cape Hill: Outstanding in all core areas of delivery, February 2012).  I have also managed Health Promotion Programmes in inner city areas of Birmingham.  I have worked in partnership with European partners, namely Rome and Paris to support the Anti-poverty movement. The Health Promotion initiatives that I implemented won the NHS Equalities Award for Outstanding achievement.
