The External Partnerships team is responsible for the administration of the Education, Nursing, Midwifery, and Social Work placements.
Health and social care students are placed in a variety of health and social care settings, including the NHS, local authorities, and the private, independent and voluntary sectors.
Within the Faculty of Education, Health and Wellbeing External Partnerships is the central point of contact for students and staff for issues relating to practice learning including placement allocation, accessing online systems for allocations, audits and evaluations, reporting sickness/absence.

External Partnerships is supported by academic and practice staff with specific responsibilities for practice learning. These members of staff will have various titles such as Practice Team, Link Tutor, Practice Placement Manager, Clinical Placement Facilitator.
