About

I am a senior lecturer in the School of Media. I am course leader for the BA (Hons) in Public Relations and I teach across a range of modules on the undergraduate BA (Hons) Media and BA (Hons) Multimedia Journalism programmes. I also teach on the MA in Contemporary Media and MA in PR and Corporate Communication.

Research interests

I am in the process of studying for a Doctorate in Education, exploring the issue of change in Higher Education with specific reference to employability policies.

Experience in industry

Before joining the University, Emma worked in Public Relations for around ten years for a variety of organisations in the public and private sector.
