Top event welcomes sports coaches

The Black Country Be Active Coaches Conference and Education Week 2010 will take place on Saturday, 23 October 2010 at the Walsall Campus.

The event is aimed at students, sports coaches and physical education teachers and will include workshops and opportunities to network with other local coaches.

There will be a number of practical sessions taking place and the Head of Sport and Physical Activity at the University, Dr Chris Sellars, will deliver a session on Sports Psychology. Other sessions include Coaching performing athletes and Positive Behaviour Management in Sport.

Sports Coaching Course Leader, Dr Shaun Galloway, said: "We are excited to have the Black Country BeActive Partnership Sports Coaching conference at the University of Wolverhampton.

“I am sure that it will be well attended and be a real asset for our students as well as for all who attend. University of Wolverhampton Sport and Physical Activity staff will have a good presence at the conference as they are presenting both practical and theoretical sessions."

The conference will be held on Saturday 23 October 2010 and marks the beginning of the Education Week.
