Graduates take centre stage

Void Physical Theatre consists of recent graduates of the Drama & Performance programme at the . Paul Atkins, Rebecca Ball, James Latham and Natasha Lockwood all chose to specialise in the physical theatre genre, a mixture of dance and drama, for their degrees.Two new members have recently joined the company, Laura Burford is also a graduate of the same programme, and Adam Day is a current third year student due to graduate in September 2008.
 
Their first show is called Room to Breathe and will be performed at Newhampton Arts Centre in Wolverhampton on Thursday, 22 May, 2008.
 
Royona Mitra, Senior Lecturer in Drama & Performance, said: “It is very exciting for the Drama Department to witness our graduates pursue and realise their vision. We are particularly pleased to mark Void's first performance as a professional theatre company.
 
“Void's work embodies an exciting mixture of physical theatre and dance theatre. It is further enriched by a refreshing content driven approach that questions contemporary living. We wish them the very best for their exciting future ahead.”
