The University of Wolverhampton is hosting its first Every Child Matters (ECM) regional Conference focusing upon Staying Safe and Prevention at Wolverhampton Science Park on Thursday, 26 June 2008, from 9.15am to 4.30pm.

The event, chaired by Professor Carl Chinn MBE, is aimed at multi agency staff from across the children’s workforce including: health, education, social care and safeguarding allowing them to share experiences, knowledge and ideas with other colleagues.

Christine Vincent, ECM Lead at the University, said: “This is an important issue for people working with children and young people. The day will be interactive, with a theatre group, online blogging and vision boards, and plenty of opportunities for all delegates to participate.

“The conference will include examples of best practice, how different organisations can work together on child safety and how to use the findings of research in the area.”
