VIDEO: Combining studying with elite sport

Rising 400m star Amy Hillyard is combining competiting at an international level with studying for a degree.

Amy, from Wolverhampton, is trained by Toni Minichiello, who coached heptathlete Jessica Ennis-Hill to gold at the London 2012 Olympics, and she shares how this has enabled her to improve her track performance.

She combines her elite training in Sheffield with studying for a BSc (Hons) in Physical Education at the University.

Now in her final year, Amy explains how a sports scholarship from the University has helped her to compete nationally and internationally, and still achieve the grades to succeed.
