More than 6,000 calls to Clearing hotline

23/08/2016

More than 6,000 calls have been made to the University of Wolverhampton’s Clearing hotline since A-Level Results day.

Lines opened at 7am on Thursday (18 August), with thousands of people contacting the University to discuss their options.

There is still time to apply to the University through Clearing, and details of courses are available at www.wlv.ac.uk/clearing

It was the first year people could register for a call from the University on A-Level results day, which saw more than 150 people signing up before the big day.

The University hosted an Open Day at its Wolverhampton, Walsall and Telford Campuses on Saturday, and around 160 people completed applications at the event.

Dr Chris Twine, Academic Registrar, said: “There are has been a huge amount of interest since we opened our Clearing hotlines on Thursday. The Open Day was very busy and it was great that a large number of people were able to receive offers and complete their applications at the event.

“Although some courses are full we do still have places available, so anyone looking to start a course in September should contact us on 01902 323 505 or via Twitter or Facebook.

“There have been some really positive stories of people getting places on the courses they want to study and it’s great to see people using #jointhepack on Twitter to celebrate their news.”

For more information about courses, visit the Clearing website www.wlv.ac.uk/clearing, call the Clearing hotline on 01902 323505, or contact via social media channels Twitter@wlv_uni or Facebook/uniwolverhampton.
