Business experts share funding tips at talk

14/02/2014

Staff from the University’s Business Solutions department will give their expertise in finding funding, explaining what to be aware of when writing bids and what judging panels want to see when assessing tenders.

The department’s Gary Dimmock and Bernadette Shenton will be giving talks, with Gary giving an overview of the Green Shoots project which can provide small to medium size businesses in the Black Country with up to £50,000 of funding providing they meet the required criteria and their bid is successful.

Richard Lowe from the Manufacturing Advisory Service (MAS) will also be at the event to talk about their offers including a business Innovation programme, Growth Accelerator, Winning Moves and a dedicated helpline for businesses.

The talk will be held at the Business Solutions Centre, the University of Wolverhampton’s Science Park, on Glaisher Drive, from 11.30am to 1.30pm on Wednesday, February 19.

Organisations are invited to come along and find out about winning ways towards helping to ensure their bids for funding can be successful in the future.

This event forms part of the Innovation 1st Local Links events series which will run monthly throughout the year with interesting, thought-provoking and relevant business topics.

Details of further events will be posted on the Wolverhampton Business Solutions Centre website. A buffet lunch will be provided.
