Capital FM visit University Campuses

The University has welcomed Capital FM breakfast presenters, Dan and Katy to take a tour of the University’s City and Walsall campuses on August 4.

On their tour, Dan and Katy took part in a smoothie making challenge at the students’ union, carried out a fitness test and even attempted to learn expert judo moves at the University’s judo centre.

Hannah James, undergraduate marketing manager at the University said: “It has been fantastic to have Dan and Katy here at the University of Wolverhampton.
“They have really got stuck-in to the activities around the campus and we’ve had a lot of fun working with them and look forward to seeing them at this year’s Fusion Festival.”

Speaking about her visit, Katy said: “Visiting the University of Wolverhampton has made me feel like a student again.

“I have had a real taste of the student experience today; from taking part in competitions and challenges to discovering and old passion of mine in sports biometrics.

“It’s amazing to have won the smoothie competition and to have beaten Dan at the Judo challenge! “I must say, learning a few Judoka moves, while getting some tips from future GB stars was a pretty cool experience.”

The University will be attending Fusion Festival with Capital later this month with a range of opportunities for the audience to get warmed up for the event. 

Fusion Festival will be held at Cofton Park, Birmingham and runs from August 30 to August 31.
