Exchange programme celebrates fourteenth year
Celebrating its fourteenth year, the exchange was originally set up in 1999 thanks to the assistance of Professor Giuseppina Cortese in Turin.
The students stayed with families in Wolverhampton and were treated to lectures in subjects such as law, business, history, media and politics during a four week period in the country.
Speaking about the scheme, Dr Eleanor Andrews, Senior Lecturer in Italian and Course Leader for Film Studies at the University, said: “I have been the co-ordinator for this special programme for the last six years.
“This is the fourteenth year of the exchange and roughly 160 students have visited Wolverhampton during that time.
“As always, it was a pleasure to have the students from Turin come to stay with us for a month. They settled in really well and enjoyed their time here and the excellent facilities we have to offer.”
