Marketing opportunities explored by seminar

12/07/2013

The event, entitled ‘Marketing in the Social Media Age’ is to be hosted by the Wolverhampton Business Solutions Centre in association with The Marketing Exchange.

It will include input from Ed Couchman, Head of UK Sales for Facebook, who will be taking part via video conference.

Guests will get to discover Facebook’s views on the future of social media marketing, its ‘do’s and don’ts’, as well as the latest trends in the area.

The seminar also aims to assist attendees in making more informed decisions about their social media in order to successfully improve sales and marketing results, whilst also exploring the role social media marketing can play in the future of small businesses.

Successful social media marketing case studies will also be included to stimulate thinking on how businesses can effectively use marketing tools to plan future social media marketing activities.

Hosted by Carl Jarvis from The Marketing Exchange, the event will take place on Tuesday 16 July between 1:30-5:30pm at the Business Solutions Centre.

Speaking about the event, Carl said: “Due to the continued lack of e-adoption by many small business owners across the region, I’ve decided to stage this seminar alongside the Business Solutions Centre to heighten horizons and to instil an enhanced mind-set.

“Until you re-examine your current thinking you’re not going to be inspired to embrace the enormous possibilities and exciting opportunities that now exist within the digital marketing space.

“Of course, if we’re going to talk about Social Media, it makes sense to invite a senior executive from the biggest player in the social media market, Facebook, to contribute to our event”.

The Business Solutions Centre is collaboration between the University of Wolverhampton, the City of Wolverhampton College, the Black Country Chamber of Commerce and Wolverhampton City Council.

Places on the seminar are limited. To book a place, e-mail or phone 01902 321272
