Business expert and University graduate to share insights

Professor Catherine Wang is now Professor of Entrepreneurship and Innovation in the School of Management at Royal Holloway, University of London.

She graduated with a doctorate from the University of Wolverhampton Business School in 2003. She will return to Wolverhampton on Friday, 28 October 2011 to present a seminar focused on UK and Chinese high tech firms, and issues related to culture and new product innovation.

The free event which will be held in the Chaplaincy in MP Building at the Wolverhampton City Campus, from 12pm to 1.30pm.

Senior Lecturer in Business Strategy and Enterprise at the University of Wolverhampton Business School, Dr Ian Mckeown, said: “I am very pleased to welcome Professor Catherine Wang to our Enterprise and Small Business Management Cluster. We are looking forward to what promises to be an insightful and topical research seminar exploring the contextual issues of culture and innovation capability. This opportunity to learn more about both UK & Chinese high tech firms will be of interest to a wide audience.”

Catherine Wang is Professor of Entrepreneurship and Innovation at the School of Management, Royal Holloway University of London. Her research and teaching interests are in the areas of entrepreneurship, innovation and strategic management. In particular, she focuses on how firms can effectively turn strategic and entrepreneurial resources into successful new products/services and bottom-line performance.
