Career Advisors to visit University

17/11/2010

The aim is to provide the advisors with more information about the University, which they can then pass onto students interested in higher education.

The 30 Connexions personal advisors have been invited by the Schools and Colleges Liaison team to visit the Wolverhampton City Campus on Wednesday, 24 November 2010.

The Connexions Advisors will have talks from academic Schools and other departments, as well as a tour of City Campus.

Jeff Chilton, Partnership Officer in Schools and Colleges Liaison, said: “Many academic and service departments at the University are contributing to what should be a very interesting and informative day. The event provides the opportunity for Connexions Personal Advisors to enhance their knowledge of the University of Wolverhampton, its facilities, support mechanisms and range of courses.”

Connexions gives information, advice and guidance to young people about a wide variety of issues, such as education, money and careers.

The Schools and Colleges Liaison team at the University of Wolverhampton provide on and off campus aspiration-raising activities to schools and colleges across the region. These include campus tours, halls of residence visits as well as presentations and workshops.
