Students from the Univeristy of Turin

The 17 students from the University of Turin attended lectures at the University of Wolverhampton over four weeks.

The visit was organised as part of an on-going partnership between the two universities which is now in its ninth year.

The students from the Faculty of Political Science are studying subjects including business English, History and Politics.

Eleanor Andrews, Senior Lecturer in Italian and Film Studies, co-ordinated this year’s visit. She said: “It’s been a real pleasure to have these students at Wolverhampton.”

Some of the students stayed at the University’s Compton Campus while others stayed with host families in Wolverhampton, who were invited to a small party at the end of the visit.

The trip was part of a special programme agreed by the University of Wolverhampton’s School of Law, Social Sciences and Communications (LSSC). Mike Townsend, Associate Dean in LSSC, set up the programme in 1999 with Professor Giuseppina Cortese in Turin and this year’s group was the largest to date.
