Students step into managers’ shoes

12/03/2008
Year 12 students from Wolverhampton, Walsall, Dudley and Sandwell will get the opportunity to quiz local business managers about what they do, how they got their job and even what they earn.

The sixth form pupils will meet undergraduate students and there will also be workshops on business management, marketing and hospitality/event management.

The Get into Management event is now in its fourth year and is organised by the University of Wolverhampton Business School and School of Sport, Performing Arts and Leisure with Black Country Aimhigher.

The event will take place on Wednesday, 19 March 2008 at the MX Building on City Campus North.

Debbie Hodgetts, one of the organisers of Get into Management, said: "This well established event has been running for four years and is a great opportunity for sixth form students in the region to experience a "day in the life" of local managers, take part in some subject taster workshops and speak to current undergraduate students studying a management degree."
