The Student Portal Project was born out of the recent VLE Project, where as part of the extensive research students requested a “one-stop-shop” system where they could find (or be notified of) the information they needed, when they needed it. Students currently need to know which learning and administrative systems to use to access the functionality and data they need and have to access these separately.
This project will provide a mechanism for delivering information to students via a single interface (web and mobile based). The solution will deliver personalised, dynamic and interactive content pulling data from a variety of existing systems.
