Family Learning

The University of Wolverhampton is proud to be partnering with 18 organisations across the Black Country to support families in reaching their aspirations and life goals through the Building Better Opportunities, Family Matters project. 

Lead by Black Country Together CIC a partnership of 19 organisations across the Black Country, that includes the University of Wolverhampton, will support thousands of people over the age of 16 to reach their individual goals.  The partnership consists of hand-picked organisations covering a wide range of specialisms including health issues, disabilities, community hubs and migrants along with many more.

Building Better Opportunities (BBO) is funded by European Social Fund (ESF) with match from the Big Lottery Fund and provides investment in local projects that tackle poverty and promote social inclusion. Over the next three years funding will be delivered in 38 Local Enterprise Partnership areas to support a variety of projects, ranging from those improving employability for the most disadvantaged, helping those with multiple and complex needs, to improving financial literacy.‌
