The Board of Governors is responsible for the oversight of the University's activities and for the effective and efficient use of resources and the safeguarding of assets. The University is an Exempt Charity and members of the Board listed below are also the charity trustees of the University.

We have a total of 18 Governors. The current membership of the Board of Governors is as follows (membership of committees and terms of office are included):
F&GPC = Finance & General Purposes Committee Member
AC = Audit Committee Member
R = Remuneration Committee Member
Noms C = Nominations Committee Member
SAC = Student Affairs Committee
Dir = Director of one or more subsidiary companies
Acad = Governors Academies advisory group
