The School of Health and Wellbeing is committed to enhancing the quality of health and social care delivered to the people of the West Midlands, through our health and social care courses and research.

Our Courses

We offer degree courses at undergraduate level and postgraduate level in a range of health and social care subjects. Our foundation level courses may allow you to progress onto degree study, including our new Health and Wellbeing (Learning Education and Progression) course which is ideal if you do not meet the entry requirements for a health and social care degree course.

Continuing Education

Lifelong learning and continuing education (CE) is an essential requirement for all professionals working in health and social care. Find out more about our courses or come to one of our open days

Timetables for continuing education.

Research and Development

Research and development are viewed as an integral part of the School of Health and Wellbeing's activities, underpinning learning and teaching within subject areas, ensuring the evidence–base for effective healthcare practice. Visit our Centre for Health and Social Care Improvement (CHSCI) for more information.

Cross school collaboration

Contributing to the health and social care education and practice development within the wider School of Health and Wellbeing is an important aspect of the work in CHSCI. Therefore is it imperative that the centre's focus on encouraging interprofessional collaboration begins directly with our highly qualified academic staff. In order to facilitate this each subject area within the school has a dedicated research link.
