We are proud to offer a simulated community pharmacy, mock hospital wards, new laboratories dedicated to all types of dispensing and medicine formulation and testing. We also have strong links with local hospitals providing our students with hands on experience of clinical pharmacy in the hospital environment and community pharmacies.
Several of our laboratories have been purpose-built for pharmacy and pharmaceutics. These new facilities compliment the existing range of laboratories and equipment offered by the school that support its well established biology, biomedical science and other related courses.
A simulated community pharmacy has been constructed and we have access to the School of Health and Wellbeing mock hospital wards to facilitate role play simulations in clinical situations. With the exception of pharmacy practice elements, pharmaceutical science and pharmacology students will access the same laboratory facilities.
