Research activity over last three years:

Successful completion of PhD - “Love or Protection? Defining and measuring maternal-foetal attachment from the woman’s perspective.” 

Mixed methodology used to produce a validated psycho-metric tool to measure maternal-foetal attachment.

Phase One: Qualitative Study which explored the pregnant women’s perceptions and experiences of Maternal-Foetal Attachment completed (Results published)

Phase Two: The definition generated from Phase I was used as a framework to develop a psycho-metric tool.  This was then validated using rigorous quantitative methods as a reliable measuring tool for Maternal-foetal attachment.
