Centre for Health and Social Care Improvement

David Reaney

David ReaneyAged 49

Having suffered a stroke in December 2010, which has rendered David severely sight impaired and registered blind, he felt he would like to participate in this group from a stroke sufferers perspective, and hopefully help other recent and not so recent sufferers and carers to better understand how it impacts on their immediate and future wellbeing.

David has been very fortunate with what he can still achieve, others are not so, but the support he has been given from the NHS, The Stroke Association and his Blind Co-Ordinator, have been exemplary, and his way of repaying that support will be in doing as much voluntary work and fund raising as possible.
