Later this month the University of Wolverhampton will confer three Honorary Degrees on eminent Indian figures in two events in New Delhi and Chennai.
Honourable Shri Pranab Mukherjee, Finance Minister and Mr Arun Jaitley, Leader of the Opposition, Rajya Sabha will both receive Honorary Degrees of Doctor of Letters at a high profile event at The Imperial hotel in New Delhi on 26 May.
Mr Narasimhan Ram, Editor in Chief of daily Indian newspaper, The Hindu, will receive an Honorary Degree of Doctor of Social Sciences on 1 June at the The Park hotel in Chennai.
Both events will be attended by University Chancellor, The Rt Hon Lord Paul of Marylebone, PC and Vice-Chancellor, Professor Caroline Gipps.
As part of the events the University will also launch the new Wolverhampton Indian Alumni Association during which time Mr Narasimhan Ram will be appointed as Honorary President.
