Work Experience

All undergraduate students studying at the University of Wolverhampton Business School have the opportunity to undertake a 12-month industrial placement as part of their degree programme.

The placement year is undertaken in year three of a four-year programme. There are many benefits to be gained from doing a placement.

For example, you will:

• gain valuable work experience in a business area you are interested in
• develop a range of skills including work related skills demanded by graduate employers
• put theory into practice
• develop a network of business contacts
• gain financial rewards as all our placements are paid
• improve your confidence levels
• develop your employability.

You can choose to do your placement anywhere in the UK or overseas (subject to Visa requirements). Throughout your placement search and placement year students have the support of the Employability and Placement Unit which will advertise placement vacancies, and help with job search skills. Many of our students return to their placement company after graduation.
