Biographical summary

Mark studied for his BA (Hons) Sports Studies at the University of Wolverhampton graduating in June 2000, before embarking on an Mphil/Phd in the same year.  This was completed in 2004.  Mark has been teaching on the Sports Studies course, since September 2004 and is now the Course Leader.

Teaching responsibilities

Mark teaches in the field of Sport Sociology across all three years of the undergraduate    curriculum.  In addition to this he teaches on the introductory level one module that introduces students to the skills that are needed to succeed in Higher Education. A  selection of Modules includes:

  • Power Relations
  • Sport and Deviance                   
  •  Applying Theoretical Perspectives in Sports Sociology
  • Contemporary Issues in Sports Studies
