The Entrepreneurship and Small Business Management Research (ESBM) is headed by Dr Yong Wang, Dr Ian McKeown and Dr Graham Tate and research areas include small business, family business entrepreneurship, entrepreneurial learning, marketing for small business, strategy, international cultural issues, change management and enterprise education, with a growing interest also being developed in the areas of rural entrepreneurship and green enterprise.
The ESBM Cluster reflects the University of Wolverhampton Business School's acknowledgment of the importance of Small and Medium Sized Enterprises (SME's) as agents of innovation, wealth-creation and employment.
The cluster acts as a vehicle to promote debate and development of its researchers at all stages of their career. It is keen to encourage the production of papers for publication in quality journals, attendance and delivery of papers at conferences, engagement with professional bodies, the pursuit of externally funded research and other activities which indicate peer esteem and engagement with the wider community.
