The Media Relations team promotes news, events and research to local, national and international media and handles all media inquiries connected to the University.
Part of the Marketing and Communications department, we issue press releases on a diverse range of subjects and are able to advise staff on media interviews and opportunities.
We handle inquiries from newspaper, radio, television and online journalists, including requests for experts.
Our experienced academics have appeared on Sky News, the BBC News Channel, BBC Radio Four and local radio stations and have featured in national newspapers and specialist publications including the Times Higher Education, the Independent, the Financial Times and the Guardian.
In addition, we monitor and evaluate press coverage gained for the University. The team also produces the quarterly wlvDialogue magazine for external stakeholders and a staff e-zine, wlvInsider.
The Media Relations Office operates an emergency out of hours service for journalists.
