What You and Your Child Can Expect

New children are gradually introduced to the nursery environment, parents are welcome to stay with their child during this period.

New children are gradually introduced to the nursery environment and their key person before they begin their nursery life. Each child in the Nursery will have one special adult to relate to, a key person, which can make settling into the group much easier. It enables a close, secure adult–child relationship, which is critical for early development. The key person maintains links with the child's home setting, working with parents through shared record keeping, to ensure that all children are supported in reaching their full potential.

Each room is dedicated towards a particular age range with activities and resources appropriate to each developmental stage. The Nursery has four rooms:

Parent PartnershipCreative dad and son

At Little Scholars we value the support and contributions of parents and recognise the importance of working in partnership. We work hard to promote a happy and harmonious relationship with both children and parents as we recognise that the best childcare is achieved through close co-operation with the family.

The nursery serves a very diverse community and great care is taken to respect each family and their inherent cultural backgrounds.  We celebrate many events throughout the year.

We welcome parents into the nursery environment to participate in our activity days to share fun, stimulating activities with your child.

Parent Forum Meetings

The nursery holds Parent Forum meetings each term to discuss imminent projects, issues and social events.  All Parent’s are welcome to attend. Dates to be confirmed.
