Online counselling working well
The pilot scheme for a student counselling service has
been proving successful.
Since its launch in November, there have been expressions of
interest, via Wolf, from over 50 students.
Head of Counselling Services Charlotte Joseph, said: “As the
pilot draws to an end given the initial response from first years
over a six week period it is anticipated that the online service
will be soon be offered to all students within the university.
Watch this space!
The service can currently be used by any first year but is
aimed at those who may be short of time, find it difficult to
approach the Counselling Service, or live or study a long way from
the university’s main campuses.
All counsellors are professionally trained and two have
additional qualifications in working with clients online.
All online students, as with our face to face students, have
to register and answer a few questions. Those for whom it may not
be suitable will be offered alternatives.
Anyone with queries about the service should please contact
