Summary
My research interests lie in the areas of early modern retailing and trade, with a focus on material culture and its objects and materials as a source of knowledge. I am particularly interested in examining factors influencing value(s) as attributed to everyday objects. My aspiration for my work is that it should rest squarely on the triad of respect, sincerity and fun. If you are thinking of undertaking studies at doctorate level in the areas indicated, and equally, if you are carrying out work roughly in these areas, I would be delighted to hear from you.
